- 評価するもの：骨盤正面像 anteroposterior pelvic radiograph 骨盤正面像（anteroposterior pelvic radiograph） anteroposterior pelvic radiograph（骨盤正面像） における骨折の完全性 completeness 完全性（completeness） completeness（完全性） （完全／不完全）と、骨片間の転位の有無・程度。

解釈とカットオフ
臨床運用ではI・IIを「非転位」、III・IVを「転位」と大別し、術式選択の出発点にする。高齢者では非転位骨折 non-displaced fracture 非転位骨折（non-displaced fracture） non-displaced fracture（非転位骨折） に内固定 internal fixation 内固定（internal fixation） internal fixation（内固定） （スクリューまたはスライディングヒップスクリュー sliding hip screwスライディングヒップスクリュー（sliding hip screw） sliding hip screw（スライディングヒップスクリュー））、転位骨折displaced fracture 転位骨折（displaced fracture）displaced fracture（転位骨折） には血流温存が期待しにくいため人工骨頭置換術 hemiarthroplasty 人工骨頭置換術（hemiarthroplasty） hemiarthroplasty（人工骨頭置換術） またはTHATHA（total hip arthroplasty）を基本とする。
限界と使ってはいけない場面
⚠️ 評価者間の一致率 concordance rate 一致率（concordance rate） concordance rate（一致率） が低いことが知られている。特にI/II、II/IIIの境界は主観が入りやすく、実臨床では「非転位 vs 転位」の二分法 dichotomy 二分法（dichotomy） dichotomy（二分法） で運用されることが多い。
